Blaauwberg property is one of the fastest developing areas of Cape Town properties, growing at an enormous rate. Bursting with the energy of the young and the young at heart, this area has much to offer. Being a seaside suburb, most Blaauwberg property enjoys all the benefits of seaside living i.e. swimming, lazing on the beaches, surfing, boating, fishing etc. Its name is derived from the world famous view from its shores over the Atlantic Ocean to Table Mountain. On the West Coast Road the new Netcare Blaauwberg Hospital opened its doors during March 2007. Its upmarket facilities offer a warm and inviting people-centred environment. Prices of houses are still affordable, ranging from one bedroom apartments from as little as R390 000 to beach front mansions fetching over R25 million and with a wide variety of family and executive homes in-between. The average price for Blaauwberg properties is around R1 250 000.

Blaauwberg has its own large vlei where club members can ski, sail and windsurf. The clubhouse situated on the banks of the vlei is a popular gathering place for the locals and has its own pub and restaurant. The club also has braai facilities, pool tables and a kiddie's play park. The famous Durbanville wine route and Durbanville property is a mere ten minutes drive from the centre of Blaauwberg. There is a wide choice of sporting facilities in and within close proximity to Blaauwberg. The Milnerton Golf course is a mere five minutes away. There are numerous play and primary schools, including three government and four private schools. Some of these schools are known for their sophisticated computer academies and their qualifications are recognised worldwide.

Some 15 000 new homes are scheduled to be built in the area over the next five to ten years making Blaauwberg property one of the fastest growing developments in the country.
